Squeak's Summer Adventure

Squeak had quite the summer! Not content to sit home and watch TV like other cats, Bad Kitty made it to Kennedy Airport and hopped a jet to France. She wanted to see Lance win the Tour de France.

There were several Squeak sightings. Squeak tried to ride with the Discover Team, but she found out rather quickly that there were no cats allowed. Undeterred, she tried to convince them showing trainers how her tail added extra slipstream length at higher speeds which could benefit Lance, especially in the team time trial. Convinced, they got her on the team as a late unknown entry from the Canary Islands. (She insisted that’s where she wanted to be from…) Again, it was just not her destiny. A training accident left her tail in a splint and she was unable to ride.

Squeak continued to encourage Lance. She was one of the first to congratulate him, giving him the paw as he rode into Paris. But, of course, she was also present when he took the victory pedestal. She presented him with a treat for winning.

Squeak also managed to sit in with Dee Snider and Twisted Sister for a summer performance. Squeak was in high gear for the performance and really pumped up. Her on stage antics fueled the crowd into a frenzy (which, of course, only encouraged her) Unfortunately, while doing a windmill with her little guitar toward the end of the gig, she fell off the stage. While not injured seriously, her recovery lasted into early fall, preventing her from touring with the group.
